Back to France!

Hi there!

I don’t know if you knew that I wrote a blog for our friends and family when we were in Scotland. I thought about killing it after we came back but these days I thought it was a great way to keep in touch and send you some news!
So I hope it won’t be too boring and my English won’t be too bad!

We left our huge and bright flat the very last day of August, Thomas is now settled in Stirling and commutes every weekend to Paris.
Anaïs and Charline started school the 1st and 2nd of September. They seem to be quite happy. Charline has already new friends but thinks that school is a bit too tiring! Anaïs misses the Nursery, the staff and her friends but it is getting better this week.
They go to school everyday from 9 am to 4:15pm, except the Wednesday where they finish at noon.

Charline’s and Anaïs’ school

I wish we will get our nanny in 2 weeks to pick them up after the school, the recruitment is in progress but takes more time that I expected. Hopefully I found a babysitter in our building to pick them up at the afterschool club next week because… I will be back to work!!!

We received our 70 boxes last week, all was unpacked straight away by the movers and it was a pretty huge mess… But after 4 days – and the help of my parents – everything has found a space in our tiny flat, Charline’s got a new bed and the girls were happy to get their toys back! The children don’t seem to be disappointed by the size of the flat, they love the balcony and fight all the time to press the buttons of the elevator!

After the movers left ;(

I don’t have many pictures from Paris to show you at the moment because we have mainly been visiting our friends. So here are some pictures from where we live along the river called « La Marne ».

This is a nice neighbourhood but much more noisy than Edinburgh: it took me a week to get used to it again 🙁

And I’ve found a bit of time to sew some things for the children!
